America's
New Superhero - Bono!
"And
we depend on what Quincy Jones said - we depend on God walking
through the room, more than most. And God has walked through the
room on our record and I want to give thanks. Amen."
Humor
Is Dead welcomes America's newest superhero! Ireland's own Bono
(he's from U2 for you folks not in the 25-45 crowd that grew up
with thegroundbreaking stylings of Bono, Edge, and the boys).
Even though some might consider U2 to be a band that evolved from
"whiny college music" into full-fledged "bubblegum
arena pop annoyance", Bono asserts "This is a punk rock
band, hearing mad tunes in their heads that are gospel and folk
and psychedelic and hard rock." Um...ok...
Bono has appeared
in the NBA basketball finals, the Superbowl, The World Economic
Forum, congress, and even Time Magazine!
Rumor has
it that Bono will be joining Jesse Helms, Tom "Anti-Terror
Man" Ridge, and Neil "Let's Roll" Young in a new
governmental agency called "The League of Justice."
Theme music will feature U2, Neil Young, and of course, Orrin
Hatch!
Humor Is Dead
presents this tribute to our new hero with this little video that
represents our show of "thanks" to this humble giant
among us. Theme song by the now defunct North Carolina band, "Tuckered".
