FBI Warns Of Possible Assassination Plot

6/22/02 - The FBI sent an urgent message to the President and all Americans last week that an assassination attempt on Abraham Lincoln was "very likely." John Ashcroft confirmed the reports, saying that it wasn't matter of if, but when Lincoln would be targeted.

According to the authorities, a number of suspects have been detained for questioning. They will not say how close they are to making an arrest, nor are they willing to provide evidence for the plot.

John Wilkes Booth, a suspect who was questioned but later released, had no comment when asked about the interrogation. In fact, he remained completely motionless - a turn of events which perplexed the authorities and led them down a cold, dark trail.

It is hoped that The Office of Homeland Security will inject new life into the case, and give Americans something to be scared about lest they become too complacent or forget that the confederacy is dangerously close to seceding from the Union. George Bush agrees and has allotted 900 billion dollars to fight the South.
